In Their Own Words
Sunisa Phonsiri
Daughter · Chatuchak, Bangkok
My mother joined the Daytime Companionship programme about eight months ago, and the change in her mood has been noticeable. She comes home more energised, having spent time with people her own age. The staff remember her preferences — she prefers quieter corners during rest time — and they actually accommodate that.

Son · Lat Phrao, Bangkok
When my father moved into Residential Care, I was worried about how he would adapt. He's always been particular about his routines. What surprised me was how quickly the staff picked up on that and worked around it rather than forcing him into a schedule. The monthly updates are genuinely useful — not just a formality.

Napatsorn Thepsri
Granddaughter · On Nut, Bangkok
Grandmother is in the Nursing Care programme and has been for about a year now. Her health situation is complex, and we had tried another facility before Serahl. The difference is in the details — the call system response time, the way the nurses explain changes in her condition without being clinical or dismissive. It actually feels like they know her.

Pracha Limwattana
Son · Thonburi, Bangkok
My parents are both in Residential Care — they moved in together, which was important to us as a family. The social coordinator has been very thoughtful about keeping them engaged. My father particularly enjoys the gardening sessions. I do wish communication happened a little more frequently than monthly, but when I've raised specific questions, I've always had a quick response.

Siriporn Ruangsri
Daughter · Bang Na, Bangkok
We arranged a visit before making any decisions, and that was what convinced us. The space felt calm and lived-in rather than sterile. The staff we met were unpretentious and honest about what the programme does and doesn't include. My mother has been in Daytime Companionship for four months and tells me she looks forward to going.

Apinya Jantarasri
Daughter-in-law · Phra Khanong, Bangkok
Father-in-law is in Dedicated Nursing Care following a stroke. The team — including the physiotherapist and nutritional advisor — communicates with each other, which sounds obvious but isn't always the case. Our care liaison has been invaluable. She understands the medical situation and explains things clearly. I can tell she actually reads his care plan before we speak.

Resident Journeys
A Closer Look at How Things Unfold
Journey — Daytime to Residential Transition
An 81-year-old woman living alone in Bangkok was managing well but her family, based in Chiang Mai, had growing concerns about isolation and occasional falls. Her daughter wanted support that didn't feel like a full transition away from independence.
She began with three days per week on the Daytime Companionship programme. Over eight months she became a regular participant. When a health assessment suggested more consistent monitoring would be beneficial, the family chose to transition her to full Residential Care — a step she herself agreed with by that point.
18 months later she is fully settled in Residential Care, participates in weekly music sessions, and tends a small herb pot in her room. Her daughter visits monthly from Chiang Mai and describes the transition as far smoother than she expected.
Journey — Complex Health Needs in Nursing Care
A 77-year-old man with Parkinson's disease and a recent hip fracture was discharged from hospital with significant care requirements. His family — two adult children based in Bangkok — needed a facility that could manage the medical complexity while keeping him connected to family life.
He entered Dedicated Nursing Care with an individualised rehabilitation plan developed by our physiotherapist in consultation with his hospital team. Cognitive stimulation activities were added to his weekly schedule. His care plan was reviewed monthly with family present.
Twelve months in, he has regained some functional mobility and participates in daily activities appropriate to his ability. His children report that the regularity of family meetings and the consistency of nursing staff have provided real reassurance during a difficult period.
